- 1 kg of apples (you can use wrinkled apples)
- 1 or 2 spoons of sugar
- Fresh ginger
Peel and cut into pieces the apples. Put them in a pot with sugar and freshly grated ginger. Cover with water and let cook unitl the apples are soft and the water has consumed.
Using a blender, reduce the apples in a creamy sauce, to be poured in sterilized glass jars.
This compote goes great either with cheeses or hot on ice cream.
Having just a little sugar, the compote will not last long.
